Being prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
General nurses can work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, home healthcare agencies, schools, and community health centers. They may choose to specialize in a particular area of nursing, such as pediatrics, maternity, medical-surgical nursing, or mental health nursing, by gaining additional education and training.
The role of a general nurse is diverse and can encompass a wide range of patient populations and healthcare needs. General nurses are fundamental to the healthcare system, providing essential care and support to patients throughout their lifespans.
