Honest pay, shifts that fit your life and a team that actually picks up the phone.

    Shifts that fit around you

Norfolk is a big, spread-out county, so we build your work around where you live and how far you want to travel. Pay you can see up front

The rate for every shift is shown in the app before you accept it, so there are no surprises and no working out what you earned after the fact. Pick up the shift, work it, and get paid on time.

    Compliance made simple

We keep your NMC registration, DBS, mandatory training and revalidation paperwork in order and remind you before anything is due, so you can stay ready to work without the admin piling up.

    The county we cover

    Norfolk’s healthcare landscape

A rural county served by three acute trusts, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth in King’s Lynn and the James Paget in Gorleston, a network of community hospitals in its market towns and a large older population.

Norfolk is covered by three acute NHS trusts. The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital at Colney is the county’s largest, a teaching hospital linked to the University of East Anglia’s Norwich Medical School and a designated Trauma Unit, with an NHS proposal for it to become the region’s Major Trauma Centre (the nearest is currently Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge). In the west, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust serves west Norfolk and the Fens; built largely from RAAC, it is one of the most heavily propped-up hospitals in the country and is set for a full rebuild through the New Hospital Programme. In the east, the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston covers Great Yarmouth and Waveney and is also RAAC-affected, with its ‘Future Paget’ replacement due to open in the early 2030s. Between them these three sites run the county’s emergency departments, critical care, maternity and surgical wards.

Alongside the acute sites, community hospitals and inpatient units at North Walsham, Dereham, Kelling, Norwich and King’s Lynn are run by East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust, formed in April 2026 when Norfolk Community Health and Care, the first community trust in the country to be rated Outstanding by the CQC, merged with its Cambridgeshire counterpart. Mental health services are provided by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, whose main Norwich base is Hellesdon Hospital, with inpatient and secure wards and places of safety across the county. Norfolk also holds three prisons, HMP Norwich on Mousehold Heath, HMP Wayland near Griston and HMP Bure near Scottow, and in the independent sector Spire Norwich Hospital off the A47 handles a steady stream of planned surgery.

        Nursing & care homes

Care of older people is one of the biggest sources of nursing work in Norfolk. Norfolk County Council figures for 2024 put around a quarter of residents at 65 or over, and the number of people aged 85 and above is projected to roughly double towards 60,000 by 2040. That feeds a large network of residential and nursing homes across the county, from Norwich out to the coastal towns, where our nurses and healthcare assistants regularly pick up shifts.

        Mental health

Mental health services across Norfolk are run by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, whose main Norwich base is Hellesdon Hospital. The trust runs acute inpatient wards, secure services and health-based places of safety at sites including Norwich, King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth, and we cover mental health nursing and support roles across these kinds of settings.

        Prison nursing

Norfolk holds three prisons, all men’s establishments: HMP Norwich, a Category B and C prison on Mousehold Heath; HMP Wayland, a Category C prison near Griston; and HMP Bure, a Category C prison near Scottow on the former RAF Coltishall site. Prison healthcare teams need nurses for primary care, mental health and substance misuse, and it is an area we cover for candidates who want something different from ward work.

        Critical care

Critical care and acute nursing sit mainly with the three acute trusts. The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, as the county’s largest site and a Trauma Unit, runs intensive care alongside its emergency department, with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn and the James Paget in Gorleston covering acute and critical care in the west and east. We supply experienced nurses into ITU, HDU and A and E across these settings.

        Theatres

For theatre work there is both NHS and independent demand. The acute trusts at Norwich, King’s Lynn and Gorleston run full surgical lists, and Spire Norwich Hospital off the A47 has four operating theatres, including two laminar-flow theatres used for orthopaedic surgery. We place scrub, anaesthetic and recovery nurses across NHS and private lists.

Care & support work in Norfolk

Care and support work in Norfolk

Most care in Norfolk is delivered by care assistants and support workers rather than registered nurses. Norfolk County Council is the adult social care authority for one of England’s largest and oldest rural counties — North Norfolk has the oldest population of any district in the country — and the work spans elderly care homes, supported living and specialist neuro-rehabilitation. Whatever your background, there is regular work near you.

        Care assistant

North Norfolk has the oldest population of any local authority in England and Wales: at the 2021 Census around a third of its residents (33.5%) were aged 65 or over, against an England average of 18.4%. Across the county the number of people aged 85 and above is projected to roughly double towards 60,000 by 2040, feeding a large network of residential and nursing homes from Norwich out to the coastal towns. Care assistants are the backbone of these homes, supporting older residents with everyday living, personal care and companionship.

        Support worker

Norfolk County Council is expanding supported living for adults with a learning disability or physical disability, with new schemes under way in Norwich, King’s Lynn and Swaffham, each for around 16 to 18 people and opening through 2026. That means steady demand for support workers who help the people they support live as independently as possible — in their own homes and out in the community, rather than in a care-home setting.

        Dementia care

An estimated 21,400 people across Norfolk and Waveney are expected to be living with dementia by 2030, according to the local Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, as the county’s older population continues to grow. The Alzheimer’s Society runs the Dementia Support Service for Norfolk and Waveney, and the local NHS has been working to lift its dementia diagnosis rate closer to the national two-thirds ambition. Dementia care is some of the most valued work in the sector, supporting residents to live well day to day.

        Brain injury

Norfolk has a genuine specialist neuro presence — the 29-bed All Hallows Neuro Rehabilitation Centre at Ditchingham, which supports people with acquired brain injury and progressive neurological conditions such as stroke, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s, and the Colman Centre in Norwich, home to the county’s NHS neurological rehabilitation service. Rehabilitation support workers here help the people they support rebuild skills and independence after a brain injury or stroke, work closely related to the complex-care roles that involve tracheostomy and other clinical support.
