The work: nursing home RGN shifts across three homes

These are established nursing homes supporting older people, including residents living with dementia and residents with complex nursing needs. As the RGN you lead the floor: medication rounds, wound and skin care, catheter and continence management, liaising with GPs and families, and leading a care team who know the residents well. It suits nurses who like being the clinical decision-maker without the churn of an acute ward. Backgrounds in care home nursing, community, rehab or general wards all transfer well.

The spread is the point. One home sits by Bushy Park in Teddington, one on Kingston Hill in Kingston upon Thames, and one in Thames Ditton just over the river. If you live anywhere between Richmond, Surbiton and Esher, at least one is a short drive or bus ride. Pay: RGN rates at the Teddington home

• Weekday days: £24.44 per hour
• Saturday days: £25.58 per hour
• Sunday days and weeknights: £26.72 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday nights: £27.85 per hour
• Bank holiday days: £34.69 per hour
• Bank holiday nights: £36.96 per hour

Can I work these shifts through an umbrella or my own limited company?
